Actor Pete Edochie Celebrates As He Clocks 75 Years [Video]

Nollywood veteran Pete Edochie has expressed gratitude to God on the occasion of his 75th birthday.

The actor, in an interview with Ada Karl TV, dismissed the popular adage that "age is just a number," saying that those who hold such beliefs should be evaluated psychiatrically.

He stated that as a person ages, they feel it within themselves, but they try as much as they can not to let old age weigh them down.

Edochie expressed gratitude to God for guiding him this far in life and his career despite the fact that he is prone to a number of medical issues.

He also thanked God for preserving his mental faculties even at the age of 75.

"I have heard a lot of people say age is just a number. Anybody who says age is just a number should subject himself to psychiatric evaluation because as you age, you feel it within yourself but you try as much as possible not to allow it to weigh you down.

"So, I want to start by thanking the Almighty God for helping me get this far. Most of my colleagues who started with me are no longer there. May their souls rest in peace.

"It is not easy being 75. You are prone to several medical challenges, but you just have to keep moving on. But I’m happy that my faculty is still complete.

"So once more, I thank the Almighty God."
