Actor Williams Uchemba has expressed concern about the prevalence of counterfeit goods in the country.
The Nollywood star, who appeared to be a victim of the trend, took to Instagram to lodge his complaint.
According to the father of one, the number of counterfeit products in the country outnumbers the original, and it's disturbing that some vendors continue to sell them at the same price as the original.
He suggested that vendors stock both fake and original products so that those who cannot afford the original can purchase the fake.
The actor went on to say that the citizens are sometimes to blame for the country's problems, rather than the government.
"The fake products in this country are more than the original. And the painful part is that some of these vendors will sell the fake the price of the original.
"Even if you must sell fake, why can’t you have the fake and the original so that anyone that if one can’t afford the original the person will then have the option of buying the fake.
"Sometimes our problem is not the government, our problem is us", he said.
