Actor Yul Edochie Reacts To Trolling Of Celebrities

Actor Yul Edochie has reacted to the ongoing attacks and trolling of celebrities over politicians.

Yul noted in a lengthy Instagram post that blogger Tunde Ednut posted a photo of Aliko Dangote congratulating Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the president-elect.

He stated that If it was a celebrity that had done the same thing, he or she would have been slammed.

While noting that celebrities have been fighting among themselves over politicians, he requested that everyone should take a break.

Yul acknowledged that the election outcome has harmed some Nigerians and urged everyone to relax and leave celebrities alone.

He also urged Nigerians to allow celebrities to peacefully support their candidates because everyone has the right to choose, which must be respected.

He also stated that not all assistance is given for monetary reasons.

"Tunde Edunt posted a picture a few days ago of Dangote.

"Many people in the comment section were praising Dangote but if it was a celebrity congratulating Tinubu by now insults will be flying up and down. E go dey collect woto woto.

“Even celebrities are fighting themselves over the choice of candidate.

"Nigerians Zukwanuike. Una too do. I know the election's outcome is still hurting many people, and it's understandable, but we all need to calm down.

"Leave celebrities alone. No be celebrities spoil Nigeria.

"Everyone has a right to support any candidate of their choice.

"No matter how good your candidate is, he or she will never be everybody’s candidate.

"You have to get used to it and respect each other’s choices. That’s democracy. Celebrities no be INEC."
