Actress Nkechi Blessing has clarified her motivations for twerking for the Ooni of Ife.
On Sunday, a video of her twerking for the monarch sparked outrage on social media.
Nkechi Blessing said she was losing a dancing competition to a colleague, which was why she improvised with twerking.
She also said that the dance earned her second place and N250K from the Ooni of Ife.
She wrote:
"About yesterday's judge's dance competition as my Oga @fagboyobamidele don Dey win me I say make I improvise but las las I came second and walked away with 250k courtesy the king @ooniadimulaife.
"May You live long sir. God bless you abundantly for putting smiles on d faces of millions" she wrote on Instagram moments ago."
