Adamawa First Lady Donates Food, Other Item To Widows, PLWDs

The First Lady of Adamawa State, Hajiya Lami Fintiri, has donated food items, wrappers amongst others to widows and persons living with disabilities in the state.

During the distribution of the items in Yola, the state's capital on Friday, the First Lady reiterated commitment to support the beneficiaries.

"I will not relent on my efforts and I will continue to do my best in comforting you."

She further assured the widows that if they give her husband, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, another chance in governance, she would provide more support to them.

In her remarks, the president of the Adamawa State Widows Association, Hilda Makonto, appreciated the First Lady for her support. 

She noted that they had never had a First Lady in the state that identifies with them and supports them like the First Lady, Hajiya Fintiri.

Makonto stressed that no First Lady had ever visited their office nor attended any of their gatherings except Fintiri. 

Also speaking, the Chairman of the Adamawa State Chapter of People Living with Disability, Engr. Sani Sabo, appreciated the First Lady for her continuous support to the association.

He explained that they had Benefited from the numerous interventions by the First Lady, notably, the distribution of over 70 motorcycles and Point Of Sale (POS) booths to members amongst others. 

The two groups assured the First Lady to support her husband's re-election bid.
