Adamawa Governor Swears In Toungo As Media Adviser

The Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has sworn in Alhaji Babayola Toungo, as his Special Adviser on Media.

The Governor charged him to work hard so that the people of Adamawa would reap abundant benefits from his appointment.

The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Council Chambers of the State Government House in Yola, the state's capital.

Governor Fintiri who was represented at the ceremony by his Deputy, Kelatapwa G. Farauta, extolled the capacity of Toungo.

The governor expressed optimism that the Special Adviser would bring to the table his wealth of experience for the progress of the state. 

Muhammad B. Tukur, the governor's new media aide made this known in a statement.

According to Tukur, Fintiri urged him "to come up with constructive advice in tandem with the good policies and programs of the present administration which are geared towards salvaging the people and changing the fortunes of the state for the better."

In his response, the newly sworn-in Special Adviser appreciated the governor for the opportunity to serve, assuring him of doing his best to deliver on the assignment. 

"The highlight of the event was administering the oath of office and allegiance to the Special Adviser by the State Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice Barrister Afraimu Jingi," Tukur added.
