Adamawa State's newly posted Commissioner of Police, CP Afolabi Babatola Adeniyi has resumed duty.
The new CP holds a BSc in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos and a Master's degree in Public Administration from Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko.
A statement by the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Suleiman Nguroje, described the new CP as a passionate, versatile and experienced police officer who served in multiple units of operations, investigation and administrative departments.
Nguroje added that CP Adeniyi was appointed into the Nigeria Police as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in 1990 and that he served as an Aid De Camp (ADC) to former Governor of Ondo State, the late Dr Olusegun Agagu.
The police image maker said the new Adamawa CP was a Commander of Nigeria’s contingent in Kosovo, Bosnia and Darfur.
“CP Afolabi Babatola Adeniyi was an Area Commander, Yola, Adamawa State, Commander (16) PMF Akure, Ondo State, Commander (53) PMF Bama, Borno State, Deputy Commissioner of Police Operations, Yobe State and CP in charge of Anti Human trafficking Abuja, before deployment to Adamawa,” daily post quoted the statement on Saturday.
