Adamawa NLC, TUC Endorse Fintiri For Second Term

The Adamawa State chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) have endorsed governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of the state for his reelection bid.

The union leaders said they remain firm to working for the victory of the governor ahead of the forthcoming general elections while describing him as "a worker-friendly leader".

The unions made this known on Tuesday when Fintiri visited the Labour House in Yola.

As contained in a statement by Muhammad B. Tukur, Senior Special Assistant to the governor on New Media, the state chairman of the NLC, Emmanuel Fashe commended the governor for prioritizing workers' welfare at all times. 

Also speaking, the State chairman of the TUC, Dauda Adamu expressed optimism that the union would deliver votes for the governor to ensure his victory at the polls. 

Responding, governor Fintiri assured them of his continuous support to workers and carry the unions along. 

While commending them for the cordial relationship with his administration, Fintiri assured that if reelected, he would deploy more for the State's workers. 

Also in his earlier remark, the Chairman Political Committee of the Organized Labour, Vitalis Vandu said the gathering was a representation of all the workers in the state and vowed to work for the re-election of Governor Fintiri.
