Adebowale Emerges As New Vice Chancellor University Of Ibadan

The Governing Council of the University of Ibadan (UI) has named Prof. Kayode Adebowale, the new substantive Vice Chancellor (VC) of the university.

Adebowale, a professor of Chemistry and the current Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration, was announced as the 13th VC by the Chairman of the Governing Council, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun.

Odigie-Oyegun made the announcement on Thursday at the Senate Chambers of the University.

According to Oyegun, Adebowale emerged winner at the conclusion of shortlisting and interviewing process of 15 candidates.

Adebowale’s emergence brings to an end the fresh selection process which began on July 4.
