Adekunle Gold Announces Release Date For New Album

Nigerian Afrobeats, King Adekunle Gold has joined the likes of Burna Boy, Wizkid and Davido who are all dropping their albums this month.

In a tweet on Monday, Gold announced that his album dubbed 'Afropop' will be dropping on July Friday, July 17.

AllNews reports that 'Afropop' will be the singer's third album after 'Gold' in 2016 and 'About 30' dropped in 2018.

Music lovers are sure to have banging singles making up their playlist for the month of July, as Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy had also announced that they are dropping their album soon.

The top music stars who have never disappointed their fans when it comes to dropping back to back hits earlier made the announcements on their social media handles as their fans patiently wait for the release dates.

Wizkid had taken to his Instastories to give a hint that his album ‘Made In Lagos’ will drop on July 16 and as usual, Starboy received accolades throughout the whole day, even without them knowing the full content.

Just when fans of Davido were yet to have enough of ‘A Good Time’ that he released in November 2019, he announced that "A Better Time" will be released in July, precisely 8 months after "A Good Time" was released.

On his part, Burna Boy, while replying to a fan about his loss at the 2020's Grammys said: “Sick. Totally sick. But my musical Mother@angeliquekidjo told me everything I needed to understand about the Grammys. So now, I’m ‘Twice as Tall’ (that’s the name of my next Album, by the way, dropping in July by the grace of the Most High."
