Adeleke: Supreme Court Dismisses Appeal Against Osun PDP Guber Primary

The Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed the appeal filed by Dotun Babayemi against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The appeal by Babayemi sought to disqualify the Osun PDP gubernatorial primary election which produced the Governor-Elect, Ademola Adeleke.

In dismissing the appeal, the court held that Babayemi filed his appeal outside of the time allowable by the court.

The court ruled that Adeleke was validly elected at PDP primary election as its gubernatorial candidate for the Osun 2022 gubernatorial election.

Ademola Adeleke emerged victorious in the Osun gubernatorial election which took place on Saturday, July 16.
