A court in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, has granted former Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), Mohammed Adoke, a N50 million bail.
Adoke was charged on 42 counts for alleged fraud on a Malabu Oil and Gas, Agip, Shell Nigeria Ultra Deep Limited and the Shell Exploration Production Company Limited.
Adoke was detained after it was alleged by the anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), that he received N300 million worth of gratification from Aliyu Abubakar, who is also complicit in the charges brought against Adoke over an OPL 245 deal.
