The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has revealed the key stats from the group stage of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2022.
The African football governing body revealed the following stats after the conclusion of the AFCON group stage:
Goals scored: 68 (1.89 goals / match)
Top Goal Scorer: Vincent Abubakar (Cameroon) – 5 goals
Highest points: Nigeria – 9 points
Lowest points: Mauritania – 0 points
Team with highest goals scored: Cameroon – 7 goals
Team with lowest goals scored: Guinea Bissau, Mauritania – 0 goals
Team with highest goals conceded: Mauritania – 7 goals
Team with lowest goals conceded: Senegal – 0 goals.
Meanwhile, Algeria, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Sudan, Guinea-Bissau, Sierra Leone and Mauritania have all been eliminated from the competition.
