Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been sent back to the Premier League side after a heart examination showed lesions in his heart, according to reports on Monday.
Aubameyang left Arsenal in January early to join Gabon National team for the African Cup of Nations but his goal was cut short as the COVID-19 positive test ruled him out of the first two games.
A recent report from the Gabon camp was that he has returned to training and feeling healthy, even the Gunners said last week that they had been in touch with the player and are confident his condition is not serious.
Then on Monday, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) statement said they “did not want to take any risks” after Aubameyang and teammates, Mario Lemina and Axel Meye were shown to have “cardiac lesions” following recovery from COVID-19.
