AFCON 2022: Ghana Sack Coach Rajevac After Disqualification

Serbian tactician Milovan Rajevac has been shown the way out by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on Saturday morning following the country's crashing out of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2022 without a win.

The decision was made known by the country's football body on Saturday morning which was less than 12 hours after speculations hit the media that he would be sacked.

The outing at the AFCON 2022 was indeed a poor performance from the Black Stars who are four-time champions of the tournament.

After a stakeholders meeting held between the Sports Ministry and the Ghana Football Association on Friday.

The Ghana FA has been directed to terminate the appointment of Milovan Rajevac with immediate effect.

The Sports Ministry wants the Serbian trainer gone or else will stop paying his salaries.

Ghana are still in contention to qualify for the World Cup in Qatar later in the year and this decision could help secure a spot for them.
