AFCON 2023: Why Egypt will not be hard for Ghana to beat - Otto Addo

AFCON 2023: Why Egypt will not be hard for Ghana to beat - O

Former Ghana boss Otto Addo have stated why Ghana would get the better of their Egypt counterpart in Group B contest.

Ghana would compete alongside the likes of Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique in Group B of this year's AFCON competition.

He said that the fact that there's no pressure heading in to the game against Egypt would be a key reason why Ghana can pull a positive result in this clash.

“I think the easiest game may be against Egypt because their team is very well-balanced,” Addo told GTV Sports Plus, as per KingFut.

“They are the favourites in this game, so it is easier to stand behind when people don’t expect too much from you.

“It’s easier than to play the so-called small countries which are football educated, know how to defend, and it will be very, very tough to break them down.”

Ghana will be aiming to end their long wait for the AFCON trophy after last winning the tournament in 1982.
