Africans have been urged to embrace digital healthcare for improved healthcare delivery.
Kunle Adesida, the Co-founder of Cranium Integrated Solutions Limited, made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos.
He said that digital healthcare would help to address the challenges of healthcare delivery to the underserved and un-served across Africa by leveraging blockchain technology.
He said it is becoming a reality to nations and decision-makers that healthcare delivery will not fall back to manual systems anymore.
According to him, said that digital healthcare, particularly in Africa, is moving slowly and the way forward is to position healthcare facilities to migrate to digital delivery.
‘’Migrating to digital healthcare will achieve seamless and automated clinical, financial and administrative workflows with worldwide acceptable standards.
“Digital health app such as Cranium has made it possible for all healthcare facilities, both private and government, to transit smoothly.
Adesida said such an initiative would help to give medical attention to patients, especially during emergencies.
