AfroBasket Qualifiers: Captain Ike Diogu Leads D'Tigers To Win Over Hosts, Rwanda

Nigeria's men senior basketball team, D'Tigers on Saturday defeated hosts Rwanda 83-62 in the AfroBasket Qualifiers.

AllNews understands that Captain of the team, Ike Diogu led Coach Mike Brown's side with 18 points while point guard, Ike Iroegbu added 17 points.

D'Tigers dominated all game long despite real pressure from Rwanda.

They controlled the game at their own pace, until the end.

Iroegbu ended the contest with 7 assists in addition to his 17 points, while Diogu got 80% from 3.

It was the continent's giants second triumph in Rwanda, following their victory over South Sudan earlier in the week.

The Nigerian team's next game is against Mali on Sunday.
