Afronation 2022: Bella Shmurda Opens Up On Being Shunned [Video]

Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda has expressed how pained he was that he was not invited to the Afronation 2022, the world's biggest Afrobeats festival.

The festival, which was held from March 24 to 26 in Puerto Rico, featured Nigerian artistes, including Burna Boy, DavidoWizkidNaira MarleyOmah LayOlamidePatorankingRemaTekno and Yemi Alade.

However, Bella Shmurda was not among the performance lineup.

Sharing how he felt about this with famous YouTuber Korty EO, Bella Shmurda said he was pained that he was not invited.

According to him, nobody came through to him despite having bigger hits than some of the artistes who were invited to perform at the festival.

“There was this festival that went, all this Afro Nation, I’m supposed to be there. I’m also a big artiste in Nigeria and I'm not there.

“Nobody came through to me. Even those that went for the Afronation, some of them I have better hits than them, bigger hits.

“So I just be like ‘why didn't they call me?’ I should be there.”

Bella Shmurda responded; “It hurts me.” when Korty inquired as to whether he is pained by such things.

Furthermore, he explained that everyone in the music industry is familiar with one another.

“The music industry is connected, its one family, it's just like the House of Assembly. Everybody knows themselves,” he added.
