Some youths in Rivers State have come out en-mass to join the nationwide #EndSARS Protests despite Governor Nyesom Wike’s directive, barring the activities in the state.
AllNews reports that scores of youths from Rivers stormed the streets of Port Harcourt, the state capital to join the protest in defiance to Wike’s directive.
Recall Wike banned #ENDSARS protest in Rivers State following plans by protesters to continue the protest against police brutality and killing of Youths by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) across Nigeria.

In a statement released by the Governor's Commissioner for Information, Paulinus Nsirim, parents were advised to ensure their children didn't go out to protest in Rivers State, on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, as security agencies have been ordered to clamp down on protesters.
"The Rivers State Government hereby wish to inform the general public that all forms of protests have been banned throughout the State. Therefore, all proposed protests under the #EndSars Campaign are hereby prohibited".
The youts waved his orders, converged opposite the Pleasure Park on Aba Road, and began their procession, insisting the Governor had no right to ban peaceful protests, NewsOnline Nigeria gathered.
Armed with various placards and chanting “End SARS”, in solidarity, the youths blocked the busy Aba road, causing traffic gridlock.
