Ain al-Asad Airbase In Iraq Hosting US Forces Targeted By Ar

In the early hours of Tuesday, Ain al-Asad airbase in western Iraq, where US and international forces are stationed, was subject to an attack involving two armed drones.

Fortunately, the incident did not result in any casualties or significant damage, according to sources familiar with the matter.

These attacks on US forces have seen an uptick since the commencement of the conflict between Israel and Hamas on October 7.

Iraqi armed groups with affiliations to Iran have openly stated their intentions to employ missiles and drones to target US interests should the United States decide to intervene in support of Israel.

In recent days, the Israeli military has intensified its large-scale ground invasion of Gaza. The country has carried out operations and continued its relentless bombardment of the region.

This onslaught has resulted in significant civilian casualties and immense destruction, with more than 7,000 Palestinians losing their lives in weeks of conflict.
