Aisha Yesufu Faults Court For Granting Eromosele Bail Despite Not Being Charged

Aisha Yesufu Faults Court For Granting Eromosele Bail Despit

One of the active voices during the #EndSARS protest, Aisha Yesufu, has taken to her Twitter page to react to the bail recently granted to Eromosele Adene, an #EndSARS protester, who was arrested two weeks ago.

Yesufu, who faulted the Yaba Magistrates' court for granting Eromosele bail said that the case was meant to be dismissed.

According to her, the case is supposed to be dismissed as there were no charges against Eromosele.

"There are no charges against Eromosele so why is he being granted bail? Why isn't the case dismissed? Can someone educate me? Did @PoliceNG  Finally have charges?" she tweeted.

It will be recalled that Eromosele was arrested at his home in Lagos by a team of policemen on November 7, 2020, for partaking in the #EndSARS protest.

He was moved to Abuja for interrogation and detention before he was returned to Lagos on Sunday night to be arraigned at the Yaba Magistrates' Court on Monday, November 16.

However, the trial was adjourned to Tuesday, November 17, following a complaint by the magistrate, O. A. Salawu, over the large presence of the media and citizens, who came to witness the proceeding.

Recall that AllNews had earlier on Tuesday reported that Eromosele was granted bail of a million naira.

His bail terms also require him to present two sureties.
