Ajimobi: Oyo University Renamed After Former Governor

The First Technical University, Ibadan is now to be named after Abiola Ajimobi First Technical University.

This revelation was made public by the Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, on Friday in Ibadan.

Abiola Ajimobi is a former governor of Oyo State and the predecessor to Makinde.

The governor disclosed this during the 2nd Convocation Ceremony of the institution which was held at Tech-U Library Hall.

“Looking at the progress, today is a good day to honour my predecessor, who established this university.

"So, we have made the decision to rename this university the Senator Abiola Ajimobi First Technical University,” he said.
