Aviation Minister, Hadi Sirika, has said that operations at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu State will resume on Sunday.
The announcement came after the minister landed at the airport.
The aiprort had been shut down for the purpose of rehabilitation in August 2019, and the plane that conveyed the minister was the first to land since its shutdown.

Sirika said, “We are ready for tomorrow, the 30th. To God be the glory. We landed on the runway. The remaining news will be tomorrow.
“But I am glad that I am here and I am glad that we were able, also again, to achieve it on time and on budget.”
