Governor of Ondo State and Chairman of the Southwest Governors’ Forum, Rotimi Akeredolu SAN visited Shasha Market, Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, Sunday. The visit follows the ethnic violence that occurred in the area on Friday.
Yoruba and Hausa communities in Shasha turned on one another, causing destruction of lives and property at the popular market.
Akeredolu, representing the southwest governors forum visited the troubled communities in Ojoo and appealed to the youths and elders of the community to be calm and allow the appropriate authority to handle the situation.

"Today I joined my brother Seyi Makinde on behalf of the southwest governors forum to visit the troubled communities in Ojoo, Shasha area of Ibadan, Oyo State where we appealed for calm and implored the communities to let the appropriate authorities handle the situation." Akeredolu tweeted.
