Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, Wife of Ondo State Governor on Thursday tasked philanthropists and the well-to-do in the country to invest and bring back to the society for the benefit of the nation.
Anyanwu-Akeredolu made this known during the flag-off of phase 2 of the Ever Bright Developers and Real Estate Company Limited held at Araromi, Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Allnews Nigeria reports that phase 2 of the Ever Bright Developers and Real Estate Company Limited comprises 15 units of three bedrooms.
It also contains boys quarters, a mall, adult and children playgrounds, and other amenities.
The wife of the governor appealed to those who had made it in the foreign countries to come home and remember their community, state and county at large.
Anyanwu-Akeredolu, who said that she had been an advocacy of bring back to society, said that government could not develop the country alone.
She explained that the government needed the help of individuals, especially philanthropists to invest more in their various communities.
“Bright Adelegan, the CEO of Ever Bright is a young man who was also representing the youthful face of young Nigerians and has set a good record in Ondo State.
“The beauty of it all is that he had made it in Canada, but his heart, soul and everything are here. He wants to give back.
‘I tell my BEMORE girls as well as they were getting all the skills , ICT, solar, I say remember to think home , think about the community that brought you up.
“So, you must always think on how to give back, that’s exactly what Bright Adelegan has done, thinking about where he came from, knowing fully well that we also need decent accommodations, especially in Ondo State.
“Therefore, we need to have more of Bright Adelegan and we will like to see this kind of development around us in Ondo State,” Anyanwu-Akeredolu said.
Earlier, Bright Adelegan, CEO of Ever Bright Developers and Real Estate Company Limited, appreciated Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State for providing a conducive and secure environment in the state for developers to invest.
Adelegan, who said that the Araromi building project was the second phase he had built in Ondo State, said that his goal was to bring uniqueness and beauty of the world to the state.
According to him, Ondo State was chosen for the estate projects because it is one of most secured state in Nigeria as of today and it is the only state that it’s easy to obtain C-of-O within 14 days.
“Since Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has made it very easy for us investors to operate and invest in the state and his administration made the state very secure for people like us to invest.
“So, we are ready to invest billions in the state and we are committed to affordable houses in Ondo State,” he said.
Adelegan, therefore, called on other philanthropists and estate developers to come and invest in the country, especially in Ondo State for the betterment of the people in the state.
“We will keep reaching out to the people and investors outside the country for them to come back home and invest. Ondo State is indeed safe and a quiet environment,” he said.
