Akeredolu Vows to Bring Obaseki Back to APC

The Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, gave a special appreciation to Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, for coming for his second term inauguration.

Akeredolu made a vow that he will make sure Obaseki returns to back to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He said this on Tuesday during his vote of thanks to the dignitaries at his second term inauguration in Akure, the Ondo State capital.

Obaseki decamped from the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) during the 2020 governorship election in Edo.

His defection followed his disqualification to contest for the governorship position by the APC screening committee for the election. Obaseki later won the election on the platform of the PDP.
