All Public Schools In Kaduna To Migrate To Four School Days

The Kaduna State Government through the Commissioner of Education has ordered all public schools in the State to operate Four School Days a week, as they resume today.

According to the commissioner, Halima Lawal, in a statement issued on Monday, the government would adjust the 2021/2022 academic calendar to ensure that the curriculum is covered for this academic session.

While day students are to resume today, boarding house students resumed yesterday, January 9, 2022.

The Commissioner urged parents and guardians to ensure compliance with public health guidelines by adopting all protective measures against COVID-19.

“Administrators and proprietors of public and private schools and other learning centers, including Islamiyya and Madrasas, are encouraged to sustain school-based security committees set up last term and to continue ensuring the safety of students in schools,” she added.

She also encouraged schools' security committees to be vigilant and promptly report any suspicious security threats in their schools.
