2. Falana Asks CBN To Release Disbursement Details Of N33bn COVID-19 Funds

Nigerian human right lawyer Femi Falana has asked the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to release details of how  N338.66bn COVID-19 fund was spent. Making this request in a letter titled ‘Request for Detailed Information on Beneficiaries of N338.66bn Coronavirus (COVID-19) Intervention Funds Disbursed Across Various Sectors in Nigeria by the Central Bank of Nigeria,' Falana explained that the request was made in line with the Freedom of Information Act.

The minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development of Nigeria, Sadiya Farouq says she has "directed Focal Persons of NSIPs in all the states to submit an updated list and details of the exited N-Power beneficiaries that are interested in participating in the transition plans of the ministry", AllNews reports.
