1. Nanny Caught On CCTV Breaking Kneel Of Baby

A former staff of Fidelity Bank PLC identified as Bayo Adeyinka has narrated how a nanny at the creche section of his wife’s school was caught on CCTV breaking the kneel of a baby. In a thread Bayo posted on Twitter, he narrated what led to the situation and how he and his wife were able to salvage the situation.

2. FG Announces Total Shutdown Of Third Mainland Bridge

The federal government has announced a 72-hour total closure of the Third Mainland Bridge to cast concrete on the expansion joints. According to the federal controller of works Lagos, Olukayode Popoola the shutdown will take effect from midnight on Saturday to midnight on Tuesday. He added that construction works had reached the stage for casting concrete on additional three expansion joints.

3. Osun Govt. Bans Youth Carnival

The Osun State Government has placed a ban on youth carnival, as well as, New Year rallies and ceremonies in its effort to slow down the spread of Covid-19 in the state. In a statement at the State Executive council meeting in Osogbo on Tuesday by the Secretary tothe  State Government, Wole Oyebamiji; social clubs, supermarkets, departmental stores, event centres, hotels, and allied centres were directed to operate at half capacities with immediate effect.

4. COVID-19 Restrictions: FG Not Trying To Deprive Nigerians Of Christmas Celebration- Lauretta Onochie

Following the restrictions placed by the Federal Government on social gathering in the heat of the second wave of COVID-19, Lauretta Onochie an aide to President Muhammadu Buhari has cleared that the government is not trying to deprive Nigerians of Christmas celebration. Onochie who reacted to the development said that the restriction placed by the Federal government is not a way of denying church leaders offerings and tithes.

5. Igbo Presidency: Don’t Exclude Delta, Rivers Igbos From Presidential Race - Shehu Sani Advices

Former representative of Kaduna Central at the Nigerian Senate, Shehu Sani has advised the Igbos who are agitating for Igbo Presidency come 2023 not to sideline Igbos from Rivers and Delta state from the 2023 Presidential race. Sani who dished this advice in reaction to comment by former Senate President that the 2023 Presidency should be for pure Igbos, pointed out that blood is thicker than water.

6. Genoa Signs Ballardini In 4th Spell After Rolando Dismissal

Genoa has announced the signing of Davide Ballardini for the 4th time as the club manager after the dismissal of Rolando Maran as relegation looms over the Serie A side. AllNews understands that the 56-year-old was in charge of Genoa from 2010 to 2011 and then again in 2013, and 2017 while he has also had spells at Lazio, Palermo, Cagliari, and Bologna. "Genoa Cfc announces that it has entrusted the technical management of the first team to Davide Ballardini," the club said in a statement.

New investors are set to acquire shares from "substantial" shareholders in Eterna Plc, as the existing stakeholders are planning to exit from the company. The sell-off comes amid Q3 revenue decline and forecast revealing Eterna Plc's revenue for Q1 2021 - January to March - will fail to surpass its Q1 2020 earnings. AllNews learnt that negotiations have already began between the new investors and the existing major shareholders of Eterna Plc. The company held a meeting regarding the share acquisition, as the new investors have requested for due diligence of Eterna Plc exercise.

President Muhammadu Buhari has said that Nigeria under his watch was getting closer to the nation’s dream of full utilisation of its abundant gas potentials. This was contained in a statement on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina. He was speaking at the inauguration of the Integrated Gas Handling Facility and LPG Processing and Dispensing Plants built and operated by the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company, an Upstream Subsidiary of NNPC in Oredo, Edo State.
