Alpine Unveils All-French F1 Car With Podium Finish As Targe

Alphine A523

Alpine, the Renault-owned racing team, revealed their latest Formula One car, the A523, with a target of podium finishes and a minimum fourth-place finish.

The all-French driver line-up of Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly will be responsible for this mission, as they aim to close the 342-point gap between Alpine and Mercedes to secure a top-three spot in the overall standings.

Renault Chief Executive Luca de Meo is optimistic about the team's future trajectory, having moved up from the fifth place in 2021 to fourth in 2022.

The team's reserve driver is Australian Jack Doohan, son of legendary motorcycle racer Mick.

The season starts on March 5th in Bahrain, with pre-season testing beginning next week.
