The Turkish army announced the elimination of seven terrorists affiliated with the PKK, with five of them captured either dead or alive in northern Iraq.

The Ministry of National Defense confirmed the success of the operations, targeting PKK hideouts in the Hakurk and Claw-Lock regions.

Referring to Turkey’s Operation Claw-Lock zone in northern Iraq, the ministry emphasized the country's determination to eradicate terrorism at its source.

“As a result of our decisive operations, five PKK terrorists identified in the Hakurk and Claw-Lock regions in northern Iraq were eliminated by our Turkish Armed Forces," the ministry said referring to Turkey’s Operation Claw-Lock zone in northern Iraq.

“We are determined and resolute to eradicate terrorism at its source," it added.

Turkey launched Operation Claw-Lock in April 2022, specifically targeting PKK terrorist organizations in Iraq's northern Metina, Zap, and Avasin-Basyan regions near the Turkish border.

These operations underscore Turkey’s commitment to combating terrorism and ensuring border security.
