A 37-year-old man, Ramoni Adeoye has been arrested by the Western Nigeria Security Network, Amotekun in Osun State.
Adeoye was arrested for unleashing terror on residents.
The suspect is accused of making life uncomfortable for the people of Ikoyi-Ile town in Isokan local government area of the state.
Osun Amotekun Corps Commander, Retired Brigadier-General Bashir Adewinmbi said he was arrested on Wednesday following multiple complaints.
Adewinmbi also disclosed that Adeoye mostly operated alone and routinely targeted residents of the town with a cutlass and charms.
"During interrogation, he admitted to acting in an unruly manner and causing unrest in the community and pleaded for forgiveness.
"The suspect has been handed over to the police command in Osun for further investigation and possible prosecution."
Urging residents to be vigilant, Adewinmbi stated that the law would take its full course on anyone caught perpetrating violence.
The retired General who lauded residents for offering information to Amotekun added that their assistance had helped to curb crimes and arrest criminals operating within the state.
