Amotekun Intensifies Night Patrol To Curb Crime In Osun

The Osun Amotekun Corps on Thursday increased the number of patrol teams and vehicles to curb the spate of crimes in the state capital and environs.

The patrol activities are to curb the incessant robbery attack around Ataoja Flyover and Ebunoluwa axis through the Ilesa garage, Osogbo.

The Osun Amotekun Corps Commander, Brig. Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi said there would be robust intelligence gathering, as operatives of the corps are working with its sources of actionable intelligence to checkmate potential threats in every part of the state.

Adewinmbi, according to a press statement by the Corps Public Relations Officer, Yusuf Idowu, in Osogbo on Thursday, Amotekun operatives have been deployed for the patrol to checkmate and curb the incessant robbery attack around Ataoja flyover and Ebunoluwa axis through the Ilesa garage.

He also said the Field Commander, Olusoji Akanni has mobilized the operatives of Amotekun to patrol those hot spots to keep Osun residents safe.

"We are embarking on patrols in some areas where the incessant robbery attack is occurring and our operatives led by the field commander, Commander Olusoji Akanni has mobilized the operatives of Amotekun to patrol those hot spots to keep Osun residents safe.

"Residents of the areas are implored to be Amotekun friendly, cooperate and provide necessary information to the operatives of Amotekun to Osun of crimes," Akanni said.

Adewinmbi also assured residents of his resolve to rid Osun of any form of criminality.
