Amotekun Rescues Herdsman In Osun

The Osun Amotekun Corps has revealed that it has rescued Muhammad Jubril, a Fulani herdsman who was kidnapped on Wednesday, April 12, 2023.

Jubril was kidnapped by unknown gunmen from his Ago-Igbira Fulani settlement in Ila-Orangun, Osun State.

The Osun Amotekun Corps also revealed that he was resched after a lot of pressure was mounted on the kidnappers.

According to the Amotekun Corps Commander, Brigadier-General Bashir Adewinmbi who confirmed the rescue, the kidnap victim was released without ransom being paid.

"Our operatives were closing in on them and as a result released the victim with no ransom paid," Adewinmbi said. 

He also added that the investigation is still ongoing to apprehend the kidnappers.

The victim has rejoined his family.
