AMVCA 9: Toyin Abraham Reacts As ‘Ijakumo’ Receives Three Nominations

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham is over the moon after her movie, ‘Ijakumo The Born Again Stripper’ received three nominations at the upcoming Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).

The awards ceremony will take place on May 20 in Lagos, Nigeria and the nominations were announced by Bisola Aiyeola and Ghanaian actor Adjetey Anang.

In a tweet, the excited filmmaker expressed her joy, revealing that that was the first time that a produced by her was nominated at the AMVCA.

She went on to advise her fans to keep working hard at whatever they do as their hard work will eventually pay off.

“This is the first time a movie produced by me, my own movie, will be nominated for the AMVCA award, and we got three nominations!!!

“I just want to say that whatever you do, just keep working hard. It will surely pay off,” she tweeted.

‘Ijakumo The Born Again Stripper’ was nominated in the Best Cinematographer, Best Sound Editor and Best Picture Editor categories.
