AMVCA: Patience Ozokwor Pens Appreciation Post After Major Win

Actress Patience Ozokwor has written an emotional speech in honour of her Lifetime Achievement Award.

The veteran won the aforementioned award at the just-concluded AMVCA.

Patience Ozokwo wrote a lengthy post on her Instagram page about how there was no social media or modern-day luxury when she began her acting career.

She believes that one's ability, humility, word of mouth, and trust are all essential for advancement.

The star expressed gratitude to her colleagues for working tirelessly and frequently without credit.

She is also grateful to her family for showering her with love and acceptance.

Patience Ozokwo described how her children made significant sacrifices and went without a mother while she was shooting.

"LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

"When we started in the industry there was no social media and so many other luxuries we enjoy now.

"Progress was completely dependent on your talent, humility, word of mouth, and trust.

"I appreciate my colleagues who work tirelessly and oftentimes without recognition.

"I appreciate my family who have always surrounded me with love and acceptance.

"My children sacrificed a lot and stayed long periods without a mother. At one point, my daughter became my PA and is still my Associate Manager to date.

"All Marketers believed in me from the very beginning. Too numerous to mention."
