Sen. Uche Ekwunife
The group said that there was a need for the PDP to present a candidate capable of winning the governorship election in Anambra, which Ekwunife represented.
The Secretary-General of the group, Kenneth Anozie, in a statement in Enugu on Thursday, said that Ekwunife could win the election considering her political accomplishments.
Anozie said that the PDP lost the last four gubernatorial elections in Anambra because the party presented a candidate who lacked political track records.

He, however, noted that with Ekwunife PDP would become the party to beat in Anambra because of her superlative accomplishments and diverse engagements with the people.
According to him, these attributes are proactive steps to stem the tide of homelessness staring the people in the face, as well as so many other things.
He stressed that among all the aspirants there must be someone who could take the party to the Government House.
Anozie revealed that Ekwunife, with her capacity, would achieve that for the party.
“In fact, November 6, now looks like the next day to the people of Anambra.
“Our people are in a hurry to cast their votes to confirm the achiever. That is what PDP needs to win.
“Time, I think, has come for the people to finally put a seal to their expectations.
“On all fronts, Ekwunife is showing great strength, capacity and ability.

“As the saying goes, if you are faithful in little, God will show you more Blessings. Ekwunife has been faithful in the little ones she has handled.
“Anambra people need a catalogue of long and enduring achievements like the ones Ekwunife has done for them to vote for anybody this time around,” Anozie said.
