Ange Postecoglou: Tottenham Coach Makes History With Victory

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou made history on Monday night by becoming the first Premier League coach in history to amass 23 points after just 9 games.

Postecoglou set a new record after his side beat Fulham 2-0 to return to the top of the table and extend their unbeaten run.

Heung-min Son and James Maddison were the goalscorers in the London derby at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The previous record eclipsed by the former Celtics boss was held by Mike Walker and Guus Hiddink, who were able to amass 22 points in their first nine games in charge.

While Walker achieved the feat at Norwich City in 1992-1993, Hiddink did it with Chelsea in the 2008-2009 season.

Postecoglou, who has already overseen important wins over Manchester United and Liverpool, will now have the chance to extend his tally when Spurs travel to Crystal Palace on Friday night.
