Anikulapo director Kunle Afolayan has reacted to the week-long extension given to the Nigerian Oscar Committee to vote and resubmit a film to represent Nigeria at the Oscars.
Sharing the good news on his official Twitter account on Monday, the acclaimed filmmaker disclosed that the deadline for the extension is October 21.
Afolayan also hinted at submitting his latest Netflix release after revealing earlier that it was rejected when he submitted it for an Oscar consideration.
"It’s just been confirmed that The Academy “OSCARS” has given the Nigerian Oscars selection committee a week extension to revote and re-present a film to represent Nigeria by October 21st latest.
"God's hand is in this one I believe! Anikulapo on my mind", he shared.
