Manchester United winger Antony has agreed to voluntarily meet with Greater Manchester Police (GMP) to answer questions over allegations of abuse made by his former girlfriend.
Anthony flew back to England from Brazil on Tuesday after the Sao Paulo police sanctioned his decision to leave the country, having cooperated with enquiries being made by the local force.
The 23-year-old will now meet with GMP officers and is willing to surrender his phone to the force to help aid their investigations.
Gabriela Cavallin, his ex-partner, complained to GMP that Antony headbutted her and threw her onto a bed at the Hyatt Regency Hotel on January 15 and threw a glass at her during an incident on May 8.
Anthony, however, denied the two instances of assault that are alleged to have taken place in Manchester.
Still, United say they are taking the allegations "seriously" and have granted the Brazilian leave with full pay to deal with the allegations.
