Anxiety As Hotel Security Kills Teenager In Ibadan

Eniola Mariam, an 18-year-old lady has reportedly been killed in a hotel around Iwo road in Ibadan North East Local Government area of Oyo State.

The killing, AllNews Nigeria gathered, occurred on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at the Solid Worth Hotel along Iwo Road, Ibadan, Oyo State.

Eyewitnesses disclosed that the victim alongside some of her friends whose identities are yet to be identified went to a birthday party in a hotel.

Her aged guardian disclosed that Eniola had left home on Saturday night with her friends for the party.

Joined by other protesters at the entrance of the hotel situated along Iwo Road, she lamented that the party had been held in the hotel.

“She, the victim, has lost her both parents. I am the one responsible for her well-being. I didn't have the premonition that her life would be cut short at a tender age.

“The hotelier should come out with the lists of the lodgers and their various addresses. This will assist in tracking down the culprits.

“I don’t believe that my daughter is dead. He must be produced, hence the law will take its due course.”

She claimed that Eniola was killed by security personnel attached to the hotel.

It was also gathered that there was no argument or fight between the two as the cause of the gunshot fired at her remains unknown.

The guardians of the deceased claimed that the remains of Eniola are yet to be located as the security operatives allegedly made away with it and hid it somewhere.

When contacted, the Oyo Police Command spokesperson, Adewale Osifeso said an investigation is in progress and that updates would be provided accordingly.
