Anything Possible For Man City, Says Kompany

Former Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany believes anything is possible for his former club this year, having reached the semi-finals of the Champions League.

City qualified 4-1 on aggregate against Bayern Munich to set up another semi-final clash with Real Madrid for the second season in a row.

The match between City and Madrid last year ended in a dramatic fashion as the Premier League giants surrendered a 5-3 aggregate lead in the final minute of the second leg at the Bernabeu by conceding two goals in quick succession.

Rodrygo netted in the 90th and 91st minutes, with Real's first two shots on target to take the match to extra time.

Karim Benzema then scored a winner from the penalty spot to seal a stunning 6-5 aggregate triumph as the Los Blancos went on to beat Liverpool in the final.

But this time around, Kompany believes that Pep Guardiola's side has been playing fantastically well to go on to win their first Champions League trophy as well as the Premier League and FA Cup titles.

"I have been impressed by Manchester City for the last 10 years," said Kompany, whose team [Burnley] could be crowned Championship champions against Queens Park Rangers this weekend.

"It's what they do and it is just a question of time.

"The consistency is too big for it not to happen eventually.

"They are winning consistently and they have got that momentum so anything is possible for them this year again."
