The Governors under the umbrella of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have insisted on having the party's convention in February as planned.
The governors took the decision at a meeting held on Sunday night in Abuja.
The resolution was disclosed to journalists by the chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), Governor of Kebbi state, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu.
Bagudu stated that a vote of confidence was passed on the governor of Yobe state, Mai Mala Buni in the caretaker committee including two others.
The other two are governors Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State and Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State.
The meeting which was held at the Kebbi state Governor's lodge had in attendance about 20 APC governors.
