The dust of the 2023 general election is still thick as some Nigerians point accusing fingers at the country's ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Festus Keyamo is the latest to agree that the party has had those with questionable character traits.
Via his Twitter handle today, the Spokesperson of the APC Presidential Campaign Council said it was true that he said the APC was not the country's best option in 2017.
"APC may not be our best and may have some corrupt elements within it but that does not mean we should go back to the era of impunity of the PDP from which we are coming", he cautioned.
He added that the party is prepared not to spare any of the corrupt politicians in the party if they’re caught.
"I said, and I repeat it, that the APC was the best vehicle we had to wrest power from the PDP and keep them out of power until today."
However, the Senior Advocate of Nigeria likened the situation between the two parties to the June 12 struggle, which he said was used to wrestle power from the military.
According to him, no matter the level of conspiracy the opposition weaves any of the words he has said in the past, he would continue to remain resolute and not allow them to fester for too long for the detractors to edit them.
