Former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, has officially stepped down from the presidential race for Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Reports had earlier emerged last Sunday that Akpabio insisted that he was still in the race and has no reason to withdraw nor is he thinking about it.
However, at the APC Primaries ongoing in Abuja, Godswill Akpabio announced that he will be stepping down for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The former Akwa Ibom governor describes Tinubu as a "visionary" leader who turned Lagos around.
He therefore urged delegates to vote for the former Lagos State Governor.
