Apple TV To Be Available On Xbox Consoles November 10

The new Apple TV app will be available across Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S consoles on November 10th, which is aimed at providing access to Apple’s TV shows and movie libraries.

This means that Xbox owners will be able to check out Apple TV+ original content, provided they pay a $5 monthly subscription. In a somewhat surprising move, Apple is letting Xbox users sign up for the service directly in the Apple TV app, and there’s also the standard one-week free trial as well.

The development will be happening just in time for the Xbox Series X and Series S launch. AllNews had learned earlier that the Apple TV app was coming to both the PS4 and PS5 and this came weeks before Microsoft announced its partnership with Apple for the new Xboxes.

Apple TV which has been missing on Xbox since its launch last year will also be arriving on PS5 in readiness for its November 12th launch.

Beyond Apple TV+ original content, the app also lets you access any movies or TV shows you’ve bought through Apple’s store over the years. It also links up with a variety of other apps and channels, including subscriptions from Showtime, CBS All Access, AMC+ and a bunch of others. Naturally, this will all sync from anything you’ve set up using the TV app on Apple’s other platforms.

Microsoft which disclosed this today. also confirmed that Netflix, Disney Plus, HBO Max, Spotify, YouTube, YouTube TV, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, NBC Peacock, Vudu, FandangoNow, Twitch, Sky Go, NOW TV, Sky Ticket, and more will be available on both next-gen Xbox consoles next month. Both the Xbox Series X and Series S will support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, which work in apps like Netflix, Disney Plus, and Vudu.

Microsoft’s next-gen consoles will continue to support existing Xbox One accessories, including media remotes. Microsoft has hidden the infrared receiver for these remotes behind the sync button for Xbox controllers on both the Series S and Series X.
