Aquaman 2: Amber Heard Firing Rumours Debunked

Rumours of Aquaman actress Amber Heard being fired from the sequel has been debunked.

Amber Heard has been in the news lately over been reportedly taken off Aquaman 2, a rumour debunked by someone considered to be a reliable source.

Ryan Parker, a writer with The Hollywood Reporter, took to his Twitter page to update the general public on the controversial actress, writing that he was told by a "reliable source" reports of Heard being fired are "inaccurate".

His words, "Told by a reliable source that reports of Amber Heard being fired off 'Aquaman 2' are inaccurate."

Parker deliberately didn't mention his source or how reliable it is but we can take his word for it at this point as Warner Bros. clearly didn't say anything about giving Heard the boot.

The denial means that Amber Heard is still onboard to play Meera in the sequel. With director James Wan returning to helm it, we will definitely see more of the love interest of the King of Atlantis.

Heard as Meera in AQUAMAN

Amber Heard and Johnny Depp's messy divorce case was followed by many last year. She claimed she was assaulted by him and this led to him suing her for defamation. He said he was the abuse victim.

In November 2020, the High Court of Justice of England and Wales ruled that Depp had lost the case. In their opinion, the majority of Heard's allegations had been proven. This angered fans who called for the actress to be fired from Aquaman 2.

Heard has also been romantically linked to Tesla CEO Elon Musk, something she has denied even though pictures seeming to show otherwise have been seen.
