Argentina FA Renames Team Facility To Messi's Name

Argentina football association (AFA) has renamed the national team's training facility to Lionel Andres Messi in honour of the captain and his historic World Cup win.

The Casa de Ezeiza in Buenos Aires will now be known as Lionel Andres Messi. The announcement was made at the unveiling ceremony attended by current and former Argentine players.

Training Facility Renamed

Messi led the team to its first World Cup victory in 36 years last December, and this tribute is a recognition of his star-studded career.

The 35-year-old recently scored his 800th career goal in the 2-0 win over Panama in a friendly match. He will lead Argentina in a friendly against Curacao before returning to his club duties with Paris St Germain.
