FIFA President Gianni Infantino announced on Thursday that Argentina is the only country to submit a formal offer to host the tournament.
The decision on whether to accept the proposal will be made by the FIFA Bureau in the next two or three days, with the tournament scheduled to start on May 20.
Infantino expressed confidence in Argentina's ability to host the competition, saying "we all know Argentine football and surely it can host a competition of this level."
Several other countries have also shown interest, but Argentina's bid is the first with government guarantees and other necessary details.
The move has also received support from Israel's Ambassador to Argentina, who called Argentina "a very nice and big country, with excellent facilities" and expressed hopes that they would also organize the 2030 World Cup.
